Gift Aid

Gift Aid increases the value of donations to St Patrick’s by allowing us to reclaim basic rate tax on your gift. If you pay higher rate tax you can claim extra relief on your donations. Basic rate tax is 20 per cent, so this means that if you give £10 using Gift Aid, it’s worth £12.50 to the Church.

We are appealing for new members to join the scheme. Simply sign a Gift Aid form after Mass. You must be a taxpayer and pay an amount of income tax in each year at least equal to the tax that St Patrick’s and any other charities you donate to will claim from HM Revenue on your Gift Aid donation. Existing Gift Aiders must inform either the organiser (Christine Forbes) or Fr Mario if they have not paid sufficient tax to cover the amount claimed by the charity.
